Life is intricate and unpredictable; doing our best each day, is the best we can do

And despite much we have done, we fear war with Iran and hope for “a bit of peace” and the chance for change from within, even without worrying about all the opportunities we missed  in order to concentrate on that which is best or Iran, Iranians, peace and mutual cooperation, resulting in mutual prosperity.

In 1974 my mum recorded the Eurovision song contest for me as I was at boarding school in Harrogate (UK) and did not have permission to watch. ABBA won and for many years we enjoyed their music, mostly in Northern California when we travelled from San Francisco Bay Area to Lake Tahoe.

Tonight my mum is back in Europe and intrested in the Eurovision Song Contest. As a preview, old programs are running, among them “the Song for Harrogate”, where Germany decided which song would represent it in Harrogate. The Eurovision Song Contest in 1982 was in Harrogate and its winner was Nicole, for Germany, with the song “Ein Bisschen Frieden” (a bit of peace).

I am now a German citizen, determined to aid Germany have a greater say on the international scene, also because of how its interests were sidestepped when the Iran Deal was reneged on.

So through it all runs my life, full of attachments and entanglements; a life which could have been very different had I returned to Iran instead of remaining abroad because of the revolution and war and all which came after.

And despite much we have done, we fear war with Iran and hope for “a bit of peace” and the chance for change from within, even without worrying about all the opportunities we missed  in order to concentrate on that which is best for Iran, Iranians, peace and mutual cooperation, resulting in mutual prosperity.

P.S. ABBA had a successful career, retired and is now coming back with a new album and we are still trying to bring Iran out of the quagmire, without war and with a little bit of peace!
